F&B Employee

About Us

The Toren Hotel (4 *) is a unique boutique hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel has recently been taken over by the new The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts chain, resulting in new management in the hotel. Thanks to the size of our hotel, our well-trained team always manages to surprise the guest with a highly personalized service. We offer our guests the right balance between informal and professional service, because we understand the guest and his / her needs very well. Our team goes beyond the individual departments, we help each other where necessary to provide the best possible service.

What’s in the job?

The F&B employee has a wide variety of skills; from perfectly serving breakfast, giving the most meticulous tours around the hotel, to serving the best cocktails, drinks and food. Employees at The Toren do everything in their power to make the guests’ stay memorable, especially through their hospitable and dynamic personality. Shifts are during the morning, afternoon, or evening spread throughout the week (week- and weekend days).

Who are you?

You are flexible, strong team player, and you have great communication skills. You are energized to learn more on how to improve and excel your service. You have a positive attitude and you don’t mind to get your hands dirty. You have a strong sense of responsibility. Feeling guests’ needs is something that comes natural to you and you are able to find the perfect balance between being informal and professional, while always keeping a smile on your face. Furthermore, you are available for morning and/or evening shifts. Previous experience in food and drink preparation is preferred.

Finance employee

What’s in the job?

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Financial Employee. In this position, you will assist the Finance Department in day-to-day operations. These operations include (but are not limited to):

  • Checking cash reports from the different departments;
  • Booking invoices into the finance system;
  • Checking payments and invoices and executing correctional bookings;
  • Checking the company’s credit and debit;
  • Assisting the Finance Department in other tasks and responsibilities.

Furthermore, you will be part of a welcoming and friendly team within the higher segment of the hospitality industry of Amsterdam. We offer staff different opportunities to develop on-the-job, through training and development.

Who are you?

You are eager to learn, ambitious, and have recently completed a relevant financial education (MBO/HBO). You live in (or within close proximity of) Amsterdam. You have relevant experience within the finance/accounting industry. Furthermore, you have the following personal traits:

  • Analytical with an eye-for-detail;
  • Structured and precise;
  • You speak Dutch and English;
  • Pro-active and socially skilled;
  • Knowledge of financial systems and MS- Office (especially Excel);
  • Knowledge on administrative processes and procedures
  • Interest and/or experience in HR operations is a pré;
